The Sydney Comedy Festival started in 2005 with humble beginnings. It is now Sydney’s largest annual comedy event.
Every April and May, hundreds of top comedians perform across Sydney. These talented artists come from Australia and overseas. Afterwards, a national Showcase Tour runs from May until December.
The Festival begins with grand gala events across the city. Recently, iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House have hosted these nights. Other popular spots include the Enmore Theatre and Riverside Theatres.
The program showcases the finest Australian acts and international stars. Furthermore, it features promising emerging talent. You can enjoy stand-up, sketch, magic, and kids’ comedy.

Tumbalong Park transforms into an open-air comedy spectacular for one huge night. The Gala on the Green returns to the Sydney Comedy Festival.
